Manufactured in the Netherlands, it is supplied with a standard rail length of up to 5 metres, which can be extended to 15 metres when required. Available with 137 kg, 160 kg, and 200 kg weight capacity options, the Handicare 1000 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This model is designed exclusively for straight staircases and is not intended for curved or multi-turn stairs.
The Handicare 1000 is equipped with advanced safety features including obstacle detection sensors, anti-fall protection, collision prevention, anti-tip safety technology, overload protection, and audible warning alerts. An adjustable seat belt and ergonomic control lever provide comfortable and intuitive operation, while the automatic swivel seat allows users to get on and off safely at the top of the staircase.
For homes with limited space at the bottom of the stairs, an optional folding rail extension keeps doorways and walkways clear when the lift is parked. The automatic folding footrest also helps maximize available stair space when the stairlift is not in use.
